A rear-end crash created a horrific chain collision leaving four individuals, including an 18-month-old child, injured in Sonoma County this morning. The incident occurred near the intersection of River Road east of Olivet Road when a Subaru rear-ended a Suburban attempting to make a left turn into a driveway. The impact caused the Suburban to enter the westbound lane into opposing traffic. As a result, the Subaru hit a Sonoma County transit bus head-on, causing the bus to tip over and land in an embankment.
A passerby rushed to the disabled Subaru and pulled an injured 18-month-old child from the backseat.
Fortunately, there was only one passenger on the transit bus at the time of the collision. The occupants of the vehicles and sole bus passenger were rushed to the hospital. (Click here for more details.)
