On Friday, February 25, 2022, around 3:36 pm, the Contra Costa County Fire Department received reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles and a bicyclist. The collision occurred at the intersection of Galindo Street and Clayton Road.
Contra Costa Fire officials reported that they noticed a pedestrian pinned between a light pole and a truck upon arriving at the scene.
The Concord Police Department reported that “[t]he pedestrian, a 16-year-old male, was struck by one of the vehicles and pronounced deceased at the scene. One involved driver was arrested for vehicular manslaughter.”
