The Contra Costa County Bar Association’s 30th MCLE Spectacular Gives Attorneys an Opportunity to Earn 6+ MCLE Credits in One Day
The 30th Annual MCLE Spectacular hosted by Contra Costa County Bar Association (CCCBA) will be held Friday, November 8th, 2024 in Concord, California. We are proud to announce that our own Maria Bourn will be presenting in the CCCBA Program 2 Alternate Dispute Resolution Section entitled “Stocking the Armory: Assembling and Effectively Using the Tools Necessary for a Successful Mediation.”
Ms. Bourn will speak on a panel alongside three other highly experienced litigators: Robert Jacobs and David Sarnoff of Judicate West and Joseph Louran of O’Hagan Meyer LLP. Those who attend the session will learn make-or-break strategies for how to work effectively with a mediator and forge a path to settlement for their clients. Attendees who attend Program 2 with Ms. Bourn will earn 1.5 hours of General MCLE credit.
Attendees have the option of attending the full day of keynote addresses and breakout sessions or attend a single session. There will also be a virtual attendee option made available closer to the event date. Those who attend the entire day of presentation have the opportunity to earn 6+ MCLE Credits as well as network with other attorneys. A breakfast buffet, gourmet lunch, and social hour with drinks and appetizers are all included, as is an entry into a drawing for prizes, including a year of free CCCBA membership.
Ms. Bourn is a seasoned professional attorney and an ideal contributor to the panel discussion on mediation. She excels at trial litigation and her passion is helping employees who have been discriminated against due to gender, race, ethnicity or disability. Ms. Bourn's compassion and grit to fight for her clients have resulted in multiple seven-figure verdict victories in very complex and complicated cases, and she has received praise from judges for her exceptional trial skills. She currently represents several clients in high-profile workplace discrimination and sexual harassment cases against large corporations such as Blackberry and state institutions like Cal OES and the Regents of the University of California. Her contributions to the education of other attorneys at the MCLA Spectacular are not to be missed.
