Anthony (Tony) Tartaglio is an attorney who focuses on obtaining justice for workers whose rights have been violated.  Tony has been with the Gomerman Bourn firm since January 2024.

Tony began his legal practice in January of 2012.  He worked at two well-known, large law firms (Orrick and Paul Hastings), specializing in high-technology litigation.  After that, he served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of California for over five years.  Tony’s experience working for the State is particularly valuable in any lawsuit involving a government entity.

Tony has litigated high-stakes lawsuits in Federal and State courts across California.  For example, he successfully argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in Abshire v. Newsom, 21-16442.  All three judges agreed with all of Tony’s arguments.  He has also litigated wrongful death, excessive force, retaliation, religious discrimination, and improper medical treatment cases (among many other types of cases).

Tony is a graduate of UC Hastings College of the Law.  Tony graduated from UC Hastings Magna cum Laude and Order of the Coif, rank 18/411 (top 5% of his class).  Tony received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Southern California, where he majored in electrical engineering.  At USC, he was a National Merit Scholar and member of the Eta Kappa Nu electrical engineering honors society.  Tony speaks Spanish and has used his Spanish in several cases during his career.
